نشرت صفحات على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي خبراً جاء فيه :"اشتباكات مسلحة تشهدها شوارع الشجاعية في قطاع غزة على إثر الانتخابات الداخلية لحركة حماس وأنباء تتحدث عن إصابات خطيرة".
الحقيقة أن الحادثة وقعت نتيجة شجار عائلي تخلله إطلاق نار بحي الشجاعية شرق مدينة غزة ما أسفر عن مقتل مواطن خلال الشجار، هذا بحسب تصريح نشره المتحدث باسم الشرطة في قطاع غزة أيمن البطنيجي.
وكذلك نشرت الوكالة الرسمية الفلسطينية "وفا " بأن الشجار وقع بين عائلتين تسبب بمقتل مواطن وإصابة آخرين، تم نقلهم إلى مجمع الشفاء الطبي غرب مدينة غزة.
