The Arabi Facts Hub continued implementing its specialized training programs at Egyptian and Arab universities by organizing a training day at Helwan University in Cairo, targeting approximately 200 students from the Media Department of the Faculty of Arts, with the attendance of several faculty members.

The training was part of a series aimed at enhancing the skills of young journalists in storytelling, data journalism, and bridging academic curricula with modern media tools and practices. The training day consisted of two sessions, each lasting an hour and a half, combining interactive presentations, practical applications, and open discussions.

The sessions were as follows:

First Session: Digital Storytelling and Story-Building Techniques
Presented by writer and investigative journalism trainer Yasser Al-Zayat, this session covered the key elements of crafting impactful journalistic stories and techniques used to engage audiences on digital platforms.

Second Session: Essential Toolkit for Data Journalists
Presented by data journalist and fact-checker Maha Salah El-Din, this session highlighted the core principles of data journalism, the stages of producing data-driven stories, and a review of free digital tools suitable for students and beginner journalists.

This training at Helwan University is an extension of previous programs conducted by the Arabi Facts Hub at Egyptian universities, including the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Galala University. It aligns with a vision to bridge the gap between academic education and journalistic practice, providing practical training that keeps pace with developments in the media industry.

Through these training programs, the Arabi Facts Hub continues to build effective collaboration pathways with Egyptian and Arab universities, delivering training content that enhances the capabilities of media students and young journalists in addressing the challenges of digital media and misinformation.
